Chinese Crested (Crested)

The Chinese Crested is a toy-sized dog belonging to the Toy Group. Its history begins in Africa\/China, where the breed was developed for its characteristic work. It currently ranks #68 in AKC registration popularity. Adults typically stand 11–13 inches (27.9–33 cm) at the shoulder and weigh 8–12 pounds (3.6–5.4 kg), with males at the upper end of those ranges.

Published breed data puts a typical Chinese Crested lifespan at 13–18 years.
